USA Scholarship 2011 is offered by The AXA Achievements Community. This Scholarship Program brings advice and access to higher education into every community in which AXA has a presence. Every AXA Advisors’ branch office nationwide distributes up to twelve $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who live and attend high school in their area.

Selection of winners, known as AXA Achievers, is made by our nonprofit partner, Scholarship America. An AXA Achiever must demonstrate:

The Lowe's and The Carl Buchan US Scholarships are available for 2010-2011.
The Lowe’s Scholarship
Lowe’s will award one hundred forty (140) $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors who intend to enroll in an undergraduate course of study in the U.S. for the 2010-2011 school year.

Eligibility:

The Lowe’s Scholarship is available to all eligible students within the United States, including Lowe’s employees and their children. Eligible candidates must:

* Be current high school seniors
* Maintain a minimum 3.25 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale)
* Demonstrate a history of commitment to their community through leadership activities, community service and/or work experience

The Carl Buchan Scholarship
Lowe’s will award fifty (50) $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors and current college undergraduates who intend to enroll in an undergraduate course of study for the 2010-2011 school year.

Eligibility:

The Carl Buchan Scholarship is ONLY available to U.S. full- and part-time regular Lowe’s employees, their spouses/domestic partners and their dependents. Eligible candidates must:

* Be high school seniors or current college undergraduates who have completed at least one full semester at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school in the United States
* Be an employee (or a qualified relative of an employee) who has at least 90 days of service with Lowe’s as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded. The employee must still be employed at the time awards are announced.
* Maintain a minimum 3.25 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale)
* Demonstrate a history of commitment to their community through leadership activities, community service and/or work experience

Program Guidelines:

* Scholarship awards may be used at any accredited two- or four- year college, university, or technical school within the United States
* Scholarship funds may be applied to the cost of tuition, fees, books, lab fees and required class supplies
* Awards are not renewable; however, students can reapply each year as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements
* A student may transfer from one institution to another and retain the award

How to Apply / Award Process

* Applications for The Lowe’s Scholarship and The Carl Buchan Scholarship will be accepted from January 1, 2010 until February 26, 2010 at 11:59pm CST. Please note that all requested application materials must be submitted by that deadline. There will be no exceptions.
* To apply, click on the Apply button at the top of the page and enter the access codes indicated above

Please note that prior to January 1, 2010 and after February 26, 2010, you will be unable to access the scholarship application.

* Semi-finalists will be notified March 15, 2010
* Winners will be notified May 7, 2010
* Scholarship checks (made payable to the designated school) are sent to winners’ homes on August 1

Lally Innovation Competition Win a $60,000 MBA Scholarship. It's a title in an official website that made special for this program. The Lally School of Management and Technology, respected as one of the top MBA programs in the world, graduates technologically sophisticated business leaders who are prepared to guide their organizations in the integration of technology for new products, businesses, and systems. An MBA, an Executive MBA, a Master of Science and a Ph.D. program are offered. The Lally MBA program prepares business leaders with the skills and thinking that are essential for meeting the day-to-day, real-world challenges of running a business within the evolving dynamics of the global economy.

Step 1: Idea Submission
Lally faculty will review the venture submissions and promote the most viable ideas to the semi-finals.

Step 2: Public Voting
Public voting will begin on the semi-finalists. The polls will be open for two weeks. Get out there and solicit votes for your projects!

Step 3: Winner Announcement
The finalists will be selected by a panel of regional entrepreneurs and Lally faculty. The public vote will provide a component of the final decision.

Step 4: Scholarship Review
Your MBA application will be reviewed and your scholarship derived from the strength of your application, including work experience, GMAT scores, essays and interview.

World Forest Institute (WFI) International Fellowship

I found an information about World Forest Institute (WFI) International Fellowship Program. The WFI Fellowship Program brings forestry and forest products professionals from around the world to work at the World Forest Institute for 6 to 12 months. Over 80 Fellows from 25 countries have participated in the program.

The Fellowship Program offers participants many opportunities, such as:

* Conducting studies in the Pacific Northwest related to forestry
* Meeting with many different forestry organizations and corporations
* Building a network of forestry contacts, and
* Promoting the dissemination and exchange of information regarding global forest resources and their utilization

Fellows leave the program with a solid understanding of how the US forestry sector operates and who the key players are. Additionally, Fellows gain invaluable cultural experience and English language skills.

The Fellowship is a Blend of Research, Networking, and Cultural Exchange
There are currently three main components to the program:

1. Conducting a Project
Fellows arrive with a major research proposal developed in conjunction with his/her sponsor. We favor proposals that are policy or market-oriented, employ good use of being situated in the Pacific Northwest, and cover a topic of interest to the international forestry community. Research projects may involve information gathering, interviewing, visiting other organizations, or planning a conference. Fellows typically summarize their projects in a report published by the World Forest Institute.

Past projects have included:

* studies on sustainable forestry initiatives
* analysis of international timber markets
* opportunities in plantation investments
* certification of wood products
* the development of carbon credit systems
* a comparative analysis of regional forest management plans across several nations
* market studies on US wood demand
* use of recycled construction materials
* green building techniques
* interagency fire management

2. Networking with public and private forestry organizations in the US, especially in the Pacific Northwest
Networking is largely accomplished by site visits to forestry agencies, research labs, universities, public and private timberlands, trade associations, mills, and corporations. A combination of about four site visits or meetings per month are scheduled for Fellows. Fellows participating less than 12 months should note that most field excursions are conducted during summer months between June and October in order to avoid the rainy season. Fellows are also encouraged to arrange their own meetings to suit personal interests.

Typical site visits will include (but are not limited to):
* Nursery, forestland, and harvesting operations
* Various public agencies, including the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Oregon Department of Forestry, US Fish and Wildlife, and Oregon State University
* Meetings with key non-profit organizations and local groups
* Discussions with key persons involved in forest certification, forest products marketing, consulting, international trade, public planning, and legislation
* Manufacturing and processing facilities for lumber, pulp, paper, engineered wood products, and secondary wood products

3. Educational Outreach
Fellows will be considered the staff expert for their region of the world. They respond to public requests for formal presentations to forestry professionals, general audiences, and school children.

Educational outreach opportunities may include:
* Fielding public inquiries regarding the Fellow's region of the world
* Attendance at multiple conferences and workshops
* Participation in the International Educators Institute, a seven-day tour with award winning educators and natural resources professionals
* Promoting WFI through published articles
* Lecturing at area colleges
* Speaking to elementary schools

MMMF Grants for Students Developing Countries in USA/Canada

MMMF grants is available for students from developing countries who are currently studying in the United States or Canada, the MMMF awards grants of approximetly $12,000 each; grants are not renewable. Every year, the MMMF also invites the recipients to Washington DC to participate in a three day Awards Program organized in their honor.

ASEE NSF Corporate Research Postdoctoral Fellowship

ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education) NSF offers postdoctoral fellowship program. Read the program description below:

The goal of the Corporate Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), is to encourage the involvement of creative and highly trained engineers in areas of great interest and relevance to the nation as we face current economic challenges. With generous support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), this program provides recent engineering PhD recipients the opportunity to conduct postdoctoral research in a corporate setting. Up to 40 positions are anticipated. Each research fellow will receive a stipend of at least $75,000 plus health insurance benefits, of which the host company would provide a minimum of $27,500 and other non-cash support.
